The city of Newport has a new crosswalk along Harrison Avenue, but city officials claim they did not install it. The crosswalk is a safety hazard as it covers the stop bar at the intersection with Roseneath Avenue. Crews will be removing it soon, but in the meantime, caution is advised for both drivers and pedestrians in the area.
