Horace Mann Hall, home to Rhode Island College’s Feinstein School of Education and Human Development, has reopened following renovations. The building now features six additional classrooms, three seminar rooms, more common areas, offices, a new roof, and tech upgrades. The $70 million bond that voters approved in 2018 funded the renovations and also covered funding for renovations to the University of Rhode Island’s Bay Campus. Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee expressed his gratitude to all those involved in making the renovations a success. Two new art installations are also planned for the building, with the deadline for design submissions having passed on Feb. 6.
