Nexstar unveiled their 2023 Remarkable Woman of the Year at a spectacular awards ceremony held at the luxurious Loews Hollywood Hotel on Monday. Every year, Nexstar Media Group recognizes females nationwide during International Women’s Month by featuring “Remarkable Women” from throughout the country. The ultimate “Nexstar Woman of the Year” winner was selected from this group. Over 100 impactful women from across the nation arrived in Los Angeles for the event, representing an array of fields from aiding the homeless to working with domestic violence victims. Their work and contributions were spotlighted during a weekend of activities, including a double-decker bus tour of Los Angeles’ most iconic landmarks and a poolside dance party.
All 200 Nexstar TV stations in 116 markets across America received nominations for this celebration. Nexstar was overwhelmed with more than 10,000 nominations this year, with several recognized, but only a select few invited to LA for the festivities. Mona Highline from Grand Junction, Colorado, received the title of Nexstar’s 2023 Remarkable Woman of the Year. Highline’s organization, the Joseph Center, aimed to help the homeless, received acknowledgment, particularly for her work with children, which led to her being deemed a true trailblazer in her community.
Highline will have the opportunity to donate $10,000 to the charity of her choice as the winner. This was a memorable experience for all of the influential women who attended, with many intending to carry the memories back to their communities. KTLA honors these remarkable women who make a long-lasting impact on the communities they serve. All images included in the original post will be retained.
