The Rhode Island Blood Center is teaming up with The Tomorrow Fund in April to encourage donations, after issuing its first blood emergency of 2023. For every donation made between April 7-16, RIBC will donate $1 to the nonprofit which helps children battling cancer and their families. RIBC Marketing and Communications Manager Caitlin Grimaldi-Flick said by taking an hour to donate, “these products can be life-changing for these patients”. It provides around 18,000 units of blood to Hasbro Children’s Hospital each year and requires 250 donations a day to serve its patients. To make an appointment visit ribc.org or call (401) 453-8383.
