The Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) is having a goat adoption event at Nevins Farm. There are 47 goats available for adoption that were seized from a Dighton property last year. The adoption fee, which is typically $150 to $250, is being waived for these goats. The MSPCA is using the same fee-waived method they’ve used in the past to find homes for small animals. The only requirement for adopters is to be willing to learn how to care for the goats, as they cannot be housed with other ruminants due to potential disease exposure.
