Marissa Barrett and Shaun Towne reported that the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has recalled over 43,300 outdoor kids swings due to a possible fall hazard to young children. According to WPRI, the swing seat restraint straps on the recalled models (SW86508MM, SW86516MN, SW86575MM, SW86576MN, and SW86577PW) by Delta Enterprise Corp. have been reported to break in seven cases. However, no injuries have been reported yet. The swings have cartoon characters’ silhouettes like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Paw Patrol, and were previously sold at Walmart stores nationwide and online between March and October 2022. Customers who purchased these swings are urged to stop using them and contact Delta Enterprise Corp. at 800-377-3777 or recall@deltachildren.com for free replacement straps.
