
A woman was stabbed twice in the neck in Acushnet and the police made an arrest overnight. The victim, a 58-year-old woman, called the police and reported that a man she knew had stabbed her before running off into the woods. The incident took place just after 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and the victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital where she is currently in stable condition. The suspect was tracked down and taken into custody 40 minutes later, with the assistance of several agencies including Mattapoisett Police, Massachusetts State Police, and the Bristol and Plymouth county sheriff’s offices.
