The featured Cardi’s Furniture & Mattresses Hometown Sports Hero is Hazel Hegstrom, who is a Wheeler School 4th grader from East Providence, RI. Hegstrom will be competing in the Drive, Chip and Putt National Finals at Augusta National this week after earning her spot by winning the 7-9-year-old Regional championship. Although she only picked up golf three years ago, Hegstrom has continued to work on her game and has a love for watching PGA and LPGA professionals on TV. Her goal for the weekend is to place in the top five and collect autographs from the players in the Master’s Tournament.
