A shooting took place at The Covenant School, a private Christian grade school in Nashville, resulting in the deaths of two adults and three children. The suspect was also killed after being engaged by police, but it is unclear whether the shooter was among the deceased. The Covenant School is a Presbyterian school with around 200 students from preschool to sixth grade. This incident adds to the recent spate of school violence across the nation, including the Uvalde elementary school massacre last year, a first-grader’s shooting of their teacher in Virginia, and a shooting last week in Denver that wounded two administrators. The victims were pronounced dead at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, and it is not known if anyone else was injured.
