Charlie Coyle and Jake DeBrusk scored in the shootout, and Jakub Lauko also scored for the Bruins. Jack Drury, Brady Skjei, and Sebastian Aho scored for the Hurricanes. With nine regular-season games left, the Bruins are only five wins away from matching the all-time NHL record. Hampus Lindholm was scratched for the Bruins with nagging injuries, and Jesse Puljuharvi was replaced by Paul Stastny for the Hurricanes. The Bruins will face the Nashville Predators next, while the Hurricanes will be against Tampa Bay.
