
Johnston Mayor Joseph Polisena Jr. and Sen. Jack Reed recently visited the town’s new Amazon distribution facility, which is expected to bring in $145 million in tax revenue over the next 20 years. The town is offering the retail giant a 20-year tax break to build the nearly 4-million-square-foot center, which is projected to employ over 1,500 full-time workers.
