An explosion at a chocolate factory in West Reading, Pennsylvania, killed two people and left five missing, according to authorities. Despite the initial reports of five fatalities, officials confirmed only two deaths. One person was also rescued from the rubble. Dogs and imaging equipment were used to search for signs of life. The cause of the blast is under investigation. A nearby building was damaged, but no evacuations were ordered. Governor Josh Shapiro said all necessary resources would be deployed to support recovery efforts. The factory, R.M. Palmer, employs 850 people at its headquarters in West Reading.
