A 19-year-old man, Luis Garcia, was arrested by police in New Bedford, Massachusetts, after he fled from a traffic stop. According to reports, following the vehicle being pulled over, Garcia, who was masked, ran from the car and into a nearby parking lot. After a brief struggle, he was taken into custody. Garcia was found to have 29 individually wrapped baggies of crack cocaine, 29 grams of marijuana, and over $400 in cash on him. He also threw what appeared to be a firearm over a nearby fence, however, the weapon was later identified as a loaded pistol. Police stated that Garcia had been arrested and bailed twice last year, once for a similar incident and again after a fight. He is now being charged with multiple offenses including trafficking in excess of 18 grams of cocaine, carrying a loaded firearm, and trespassing. A related image is attached.
