DATTCO has announced that it will discontinue its New Bedford-Boston bus service in April due to ongoing financial struggles. The decision was made after months of searching for an effective solution to reduce operating costs and increase fares. The service will officially stop running on April 16. New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell expressed his concerns about the short notice given to passengers and the lack of communication with the city, but said the city is working with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation to find a solution.
