
The AAA Northeast reported that gas prices in Rhode Island and Massachusetts have decreased by 2 cents per gallon from last week’s increase. The average price per gallon is now $3.27. The national average also went down by 3 cents, bringing it to $3.44 per gallon. AAA Northeast’s Diana Gugliotta attributed the drop to the global oil price, which is currently at its lowest point since December of 2021. The national average gas price is now 81 cents lower compared to last year and 3 cents higher compared to last month.
