A fourth-grade science class at the Moses Brown School in Providence, Rhode Island is studying plastic pollution, and they are now requesting their Washington delegation to pass a law to help keep the environment free of plastic. Elizabeth Grundach’s students have been learning about plastic pollution and finding solutions. They learned that plastic doesn’t decompose and it can cause harm to animals and humans. The students wrote letters to their local elected officials, including senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Jack Reed, asking them to support the bill. The students encourage others to write letters too for a better chance of the bill getting passed.
