On Friday night, a car accident in Wrentham, Massachusetts resulted in three people being injured.
Police were called to the scene of a two vehicle crash in front of District Court just before 8 p.m.
Upon arriving, they found two heavily damaged vehicles – a pick-up truck and a four door sedan.
The driver of the truck had been on East Street, headed towards Wrentham Center when they veered left at the split to continue on Common Street. Sadly, they crossed oncoming traffic on Rt. 140 southbound, causing a head on collision with a Hyundai Elantra.
The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries while a female passenger suffered life threatening injuries and was transported via Med Flight to the Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center.
Additionally, the driver of the car suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries and was also taken to the Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center.
The accident is under investigation by Wrentham Police and Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team, and no charges have been filed at this time.
