Fairleigh Dickinson caused one of the biggest upsets in NCAA Tournament history, defeating top-seeded Purdue 63-58 on Friday night. This victory makes the Knights only the second No. 16 seed to win a game in March Madness. Despite being the smallest of the 363 Division I teams in the country, FDU’s relentless defense proved too much for the Big Ten champion Boilermakers. FDU’s players mobbed each other on the floor of Nationwide Arena in celebration. Sean Moore scored 19 points and led the team’s charge. The Knights will face FAU on Sunday for a Sweet 16 berth.
