The Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce has launched a new program called the RI Rebounds Ventilation Initiative. This initiative aims to encourage small businesses to enhance their indoor air quality and circulation. Small businesses can receive up to $10,000 reimbursement for expenses incurred while improving indoor air quality, including installing new ventilation systems, air purifiers, windows or fans, provided they present an air quality inspection receipt. The program will provide roughly $2 million in grants to eligible small businesses to help them improve indoor air quality. Secretary Liz Tanner of R.I. Commerce has emphasized that it’s crucial for businesses to enhance their indoor air quality to protect their staff and customers against the impacts of any future public health emergencies.
