The streaming television service, YouTube TV, is increasing its prices by $8 a month for its Base Plan, raising it from $64.99 to $72.99 a month. The price hike is set to take effect on April 18 for current subscribers, while new subscribers can avail of a three-month promotional rate of $62.99 a month before the increase. The company attributed the hike to escalating content costs and emphasized its commitment to providing an improved service. Since its inception in 2017, YouTube TV has undergone several price hikes, from $35 to $50 to $64.99 in 2020. However, the platform is lowering its 4K Plus add-on price from $19.99 a month to $9.99 a month, with a 12-month promotional cost of $4.99 a month for new users.
