The Providence College Friar fans flooded bars and restaurants in the capital city to catch the game on Friday night. Bradley Cafe, where the Friars faced off against Kentucky, was filled to the brim with the Friar faithfuls. Despite the team’s exit from the Big Dance, fans continued to come out in large numbers to show their support. The Abbey also had a mix of St. Patrick’s Day revelers and Friars fans among its crowd. The Rhode Island Firefighters Pipes and Drums performed at Blake’s Tavern, which was bustling with patrons for both the holiday and the game. The energy was palpable, and businesses were thrilled to see the turnout.
