Pfizer is recalling over 4 million packages of prescription migraine medicine because the packaging is not child resistant, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. The recall applies to Nurtec ODT 75mg tablets sold in packs of eight doses on a blister card. The packaging of the prescription drug does not satisfy Poison Prevention Packaging Act regulations, but the medication can still be taken as recommended. The recall affects medications with expiration dates up to June 2026 and an NDC number of 72618-3000-2, which were shipped to pharmacies throughout the US. If you have been prescribed the recalled medicine, keep it out of the reach of children and contact Pfizer for a free child-resistant pouch to store it in. There have been no reported injuries, and Pfizer advises that there is no need to return the medication as the company develops new child-resistant packaging.
