Police need help identifying a man who broke into the VR Zone at Providence Place mall in Rhode Island on March 5th. The thief stole cash from the register and five virtual reality headsets worth $500 each before leaving. Wilson, the VR Zone General Manager, said he hasn’t received any updates from investigators. Brookfield Properties Retail, the owner of Providence Place, said break-ins like this are infrequent and they have a strong security programme in place. The stolen equipment won’t be covered by Wilson’s insurance, which is a financial burden for his start-up business. He is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the suspect or return of the stolen items.
