A 19-year-old man, Hedweens Quetant, from Boston has been arrested by the police in Braintree, Massachusetts. He is accused of causing a deadly accident in late March. The charges against him include manslaughter, vehicular homicide by negligent operation, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, racing a motor vehicle, and witness intimidation. According to the Massachusetts State Police, Quetant was racing another motorist on I-93 North when he struck a vehicle driven by Michael Wojdag. Wojdag was ejected from his SUV and subsequently died from his injuries. At the time of the incident, Wojdag had two passengers with him, a 45-year-old woman, and a teenager. The passengers suffered minor injuries, while neither Quetant nor the four passengers in his vehicle were hurt. Reports suggest Quetant’s car was traveling at 120 mph before the collision. The driver who was apparently racing Quetant has not yet been identified. Quetant has been arraigned and held on $25,000 bail.
