The Henry Barnard School will be relocated to the East Providence campus by Providence Country Day School this upcoming fall. The move is part of a renovation project worth millions of dollars that aims to bring all students grades Pre-K through 12 together. The Head of School, Kevin Folan, believes that the merger will create an unparalleled, student-centric community. The move signifies a major milestone for Providence Country Day and is expected to elevate the students’ experience. The Henry Barnard School had been facing closure until the Providence Country Day’s Board of Trustees assumed all financial responsibility. The school’s facilities are currently established on the Rhode Island College campus. The move comes as both institutions are celebrating their centennial and quasquicentennial anniversaries, respectively.
