Boston Bruins have signed David Pastrnak, 26-year-old forward, for an eight-year extension worth $90 million. Pastrnak leads the team with 80 points this season, including 42 goals and 38 assists, it’s his third season with over 40 goals. The contract will make Pastrnak the highest-paid player for the Bruins next season, exceeding Charlie McAvoy’s $9.5 million. The Bruins are currently on top of the league with 99 points and are 13 points ahead of the second-placed team, Carolina Hurricanes. Pastrnak has been with the Bruins since he was drafted by the team in 2014 and ranks in the top 20 for goals, hat tricks, assists, and points in the franchise history.
